Market Saving Lives

Through 2020, our market has adjusted as the COVID-19 situation evolved. But one thing remained constant. Generous market patrons stepped up each quarter and rolled up their sleeves to help save lives by donating blood. As the pandemic progressed, the need for donated blood became direr. Thousands of blood drives were canceled as companies shifted to working at home and schools were held remotely. Yet the need for blood remained. Surgeries still needed to be performed, life-threatening accidents still occurred, cancer patients still needed treatments and thousands of grateful patients still needed life-saving transfusions of red blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Did you know that every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs blood? Our partner in this effort, Vitalant, has awarded us a plaque in appreciation of being a COVID-19 Blood Drive Sponsor.
